'Sweet game'

The legal representative, presenting evidence, described the defendant's actions to the legal proceedings.

She explained his those affected were children from difficult backgrounds who were staying at a summer program which he operated.

The man played a "candy game" with the minors, the legal counsel said, in which he would access the children's bedrooms when they were getting ready for bed and tell them to ingest treats "rapidly".

She stated to the judge the man had played this game with the young males "repeatedly", and children had previously become sick the subsequent day.

She stated the man had been able to explain this over a long period as the children being "overexcited from fun", until his family member had worries in July 2025.

The legal representative added: "Recently" his family member had concerns about the activities, justifiably.

"They chose" to have a look in the individual's items."

The prosecutor explained objects including baby oil, Vaseline and syringes were located, and his stepson notified the authorities about his worries.

She stated the man continued to conduct the "candy game" with six children that evening - July 26th - and they were all sick the subsequent day.

"Law enforcement" had not responded by that point," she added.

The regulatory agency, the investigative body, previously told that it was reviewing the police response of the incident.

Mrs Prior explained the children were unable to walk properly due to their sickness, so the stepson called the authorities once more.

She explained Ruben then played the "treat game" in a area of five children.
